Title: I'm the owner of a 'new to me'......
Post by: heatherg11 on November 11, 2007, 08:09:47 AM
2001 SV650S........it's beautiful.  I went and picked it up last night (saturday night).  I will post some pics later today. My GS is in the for sale section, no need to have 2 bikes.  I'm getting pics..before you start fussing at me!!!!

As for a review...to be honest I test drove it for about 5 mins.  It was almost 10pm and about 30 degrees outside.  I took off a little easy with it being dark and not knowing the roads, but I can tell its got power. I will drive it more probably tomorrow (take the tag off my GS and hope I don't get caught), so I will add more tomorrow.  I love it already!!!

Yeah, lose the bra.

UNLESS you can find something that fits a little tighter and shows off her curves.   :icon_mrgreen:

Congratulations on a new ride. I've never read anything bad about the sv. One of the British magazines raves about it every chance they get. Apparently motor-delivery guys love it too. That's got to mean something.

Looks like you've got what they call a 'curvy slipper' curvy being the frame and slipper being the windscreen.

Excellent color.  The sv looks beautiful in electric blue and also red or yellow. It's one of the few bikes that doesn't look right in black.

Now, are you going to make it naked ? I love the look of the sv minus the extra 's'. They're such a fantastic machine, thumping and thumping down the road.

Enjoy it, it's a fine ride !

Best color Option....

the 03 Copper.  I never knew how beautiful it was until I saw a member of this board with one, and I've been in love ever since.

Next after that is the Electric Blue with Silver Frame.

Sorry guys, if you're talking S models, this one wins hands down.

Though I personally prefer this one.

I'm a huge fan of the yellow and black color combo.

That copper is a sweet ass color though.  If I didn't love yellow so much it would definitely be on top of my list.....but seeing as I do, it'll be a close second.

Guess I'm partial to MY bike's color.  I don't like the copper or yellow....guess i'm weird.

don't think I'm gonna make it naked....will probably add the lower fairing as a matter of fact.

thanks for the compliments guys.

+1
Every time i see a yellow car/bike, i think Volvo.

Heatherg11 - Didn't think Suzuki made a lower kit for the curvy, but i might be wrong.

there are a couple of different makers for the full fairing...just a matter of dishing out the $$$ since I just bought the bike. It will have to wait for xmas or after.

Like the blue color...but man that 03 copper is sexy!

Not a big fan of that ugly windscreen fairing with the huge bubble in it. Looks weird.

I'd go naked or atleast get some different fairings.
