Hey all. I know this isn't a GS, but hey, its a fun project!
I'm selling my 1978 Garelli Rally Sport moped after owning it for a few years. I've done a whole lot to fix it up, but it hasn't been started in half a year, and needs the carb cleaned. It ran perfectly the last time I fired it up over summer. Here is my DC Craigslist ad with more details: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/476832325.html (http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/476832325.html)
I'd be happy to answer any questions about the bike. Shoot me an email at wkevit (at) gmail (dot) com. I just ran out of time to work on it and keep it up for riding around town, and I moved out of my last place with a garage. Otherwise I'd keep it. Its a super cool bike and it comes with a slew of spare parts.
I'm asking 350 cash, and am located in zip 22201, Arlington VA
Thanks!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did we export those Garellis in the US, too?!?!?!?
Never knew about that...I can't believe it
When I was a kid, Garelli VIPs were very popular amongst young reckless riders 'cause they were super easy to upgrade. :icon_mrgreen:
Good luck with the sale :thumb:
Haha, yeah simon. There are a good number of them still kicking around the US. I have never owned a VIP, but this NOI horizontal has been pretty cool. Polini has a really sweet 70cc kit out, along with a matched expansion chamber and carb, that will make these things into a screamer!
I don't know how safe it would be though. :icon_mrgreen:
