Title: Mad Motard Skills!!!!
Post by: Kasumi on November 14, 2007, 03:13:02 PM
This is linked to the "I want.." thread. I posted that im in love with the Ducati Hypermotard - the motard derived from the 1098.

Anywhos watch the test riders the review in this video... Feel free to watch the whole video but the bit you want to see is the track testing about 3/4's of the way through...

I have never seen anyone pull that sort of cornering off before - that guy has balls to do that - you don't come closer to binning a Ducati than that!  :o :o :o

The powersliding into the turns was crazy.  You've got to have serious bike control to pull some stuff like that off.

Theres a phrase specially reserved for Xaus "Win it or Bin it"   When he goes out on track he is an absolute hooligan and does things you never thought possible and his style is far from smooth, but highly entertaining. It is pretty much law - he either wins or he bins it.  But hes never afraid to do something crazy!

...the motard derived from the 1098.

Except with the 1100cc 2-valve oil/air-cooled engine, instead of the 1098's water-cooled 4-valve superbike engine.  About 40hp difference.

Still, definitely a fantastic platform for commute/hooliganism.  I'd love to have one if it was cheaper than 13K stateside.
