Looks good with the white rims I say keep them white.
What did you use for the underlights and how easy is it to install them and hook them up to the electrical stuff. I've got a black bike and plan on repainting it...but I want to stay black and still be visible at night. I was thinking something like this would be a great way to stay visible at night. Oh and it looks pretty sweet.
I used these lights http://cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?item=TUC_1042516_G (http://cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?item=TUC_1042516_G).
They were really easy to install using the "distributor module" that came with it for free.
the whole kit was expensive but it was a b-day gift for me.
I just used the double sided sticky foam they came with and plenty of zip ties. Ran it all under the seat and hooked it right up to the battery (as per the included directions) (came with an inline fuse, so no worries). I put the switch right above fuel valve (in between the fairing and the frame.
And now, drivers have no excuses for not seeing me. :icon_mrgreen:
Is it stealing any juice from the battery or anything?
I havnt noticed any power drain or strain on the battery. They're LEDs, how much power could they possibly use?
Then again, i only use them at night and do mostly highway riding.
They're made specifically for motorcycles so they can't be too bad.
Also be careful of the different colors, they could get you in trouble (don't want to impersonate an officer :cookoo:)
goodluck
that pic's a lot easier to see!
looks really good! i think it would look even better with black rims and a black/carbon fiber tailpipe!
Ahhh bigger pic.. looks real nice. If I was to do a naked, that how I would do it.
Well I'll look into those lights. So would red be bad to get...would it look like a cop. I might do orange...I was thinking of doing a black and orange scheme when I paint the bike anyway. Haven't decided yet.
Looks kinda like what I just did with my bike. I did bronze wheels and it turned out pretty good I think. Only a few more things to do and I'll be where I want it to be.
the only thing is that the pics make it look way shinier than it really does on even a really sunny day. It looks like a satin black when the light hits it.

Looks real good.... think about polishing the lips on the wheels, that was what I thought looked nice.. instead of having to repaint the wheels...
by the way, what mirrors are those???
Nice exhaust bomba. You repaint the pipes? What did you use?
bombadillo:
They are mortax bar end mirrors found here: http://cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=MRX_MBM1_G&tier2=14 (http://cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=MRX_MBM1_G&tier2=14)
in order to make them work, i had to move controls in about 1/2" and clamp them directly to the bar. (Kept the bar end weights)
Prafeston:
Do what ever color makes you happy, just use a switch so you can turn them off if need be. Ive seen a lot of cruisers with purple, blue, and red.
In florida there is a whole law section about lights you can/cannot use. see if your state has something like it. Or just call up the courthouse or police station. GOODLUCK
Cool thanks!
I'll look into lighting laws for vehicles in the state of MO. Now I'm kinda thinking I might paint the bike white with a black frame. Still would like some underglows though.
VERY stealthy, very cool bike! :thumb:
