The Kickstart 2 stroke powerplant?
Its a kawi and it has no mirrors. What do I win?
Mach1: you win buttsecks with an's sheep.
I agree with both. What 2 smoker would be more powerful than a Kawi 250cc or 500cc engine?

Uh Just about any of them.
The EX250 is only Pushing 36HP Stock.With the RD400 it's Around 47HP.With the EX500 it wasn't Much Better at Around 43.
With my GS500/T500 Transplant without any mods I'll be looking at nearly the same HP as the Stock GS500.BUT the Bike will weigh over 50lbs Lighter.I think I can go more than that though. If I modify the Cylinders A little and get a Good set of Chambers I can get the HP up to Around 60-65.Possibly more if I can get the time to get some of these Ideas out of my Head.
I thought that looked familiar, I have an RD250 and it pretty much looks the same. Great Bike, really nimble..
Regards
Graham
Yea, and he couldn't find a better frame to put it in ??? yea, lost in the 80's baby.
Cool.
Srinath.
Im confused it doesn't stack up, why try and put a 2 smoker engine into a smallish bike frame when your only going to get all the problems that come with 2 smokers.
Why not just get a zxr400 or ngr400 or nsr400 or cbr400 etc etc... etc... where your getting 70hp from an inline 4 in a fully aluminium framed bike that can do 150mph (147 accurate on my zxr) Seems much cheaper and easier to just buy a 400 and get insane power in a small bike than spending a fortune on a high upkeep 2smoker that will only just have equal performance.
But there's just something about riding a tuned smoker that you don't get with riding a I4
You don't get covered in leaking red oil from the sloshing about oil tank by your leg or passanger seat? Or the white smoke pouring out the back! orrr.... the high pitched screech and rattle!
No i have to admit when i had my 2 smoker it was fantastic fun but i love my I4 now but i have my heart set on a ducati hypermotard with an L-twin ...mmmm twin torque.
It all comes down to what floats your boat, I actually don't mind my GS now that I've got it sorted.
All I can say is 2 stroking is a Sickness. :cookoo: :flipoff: :flipoff:
When did 45 Seconds Become 4 and A Half Minutes? :dunno_white: :dunno_white: Shouldn't you guys Crank back the Post Whore Filter? :dunno_white: :dunno_white:

Problems? :dunno_white: Most @ strokes are as Reliable as a 4 stroke. If Something does go wrong it takes less than Half the time to fix.No Valves,No Cam,Less Problem.
Some of us guys will never Own Our RG500's so we Have to build our Dream Bikes. We Can't explain it other than Not careing much about 4 strokes like some doesn't care about our 2 strokes.Really I only own one 4 Stroke and it doesn't run. There's no Reason it shouldn't.It just Doesn't. :icon_confused:
different strokes for different folks. :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:
aye, teh 4 stroke runs on teh whorehouse principle
1. suck
2. squeeze
3. bang
4. blow

um, I know this one......
BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GET ALL THEM KEWL 4T BIKES IN THE US....WE GOT THE 89-91 FZR400 AND THE BANDIT 400 FOR A YR OR TWO
and they didn't sell worth a crap so they are difficult to find. The RZ350 was last in the US in 85
so we either cram big frigging singles into little frames or big friggin 2T into little 4T frames
i'd love a sdr200...dream on over here
the whorehouse principle, gotta love that explanation, I suppose the two stroke works on the banking principle then does it?
