Title: Lindemann forks...
Post by: The Buddha on August 13, 2003, 03:05:45 PM
OK Lemme see if anyone wants to try this...
I have a lindemann modded fork on my 89...done way back when lindemann used to do all their own work...supposedly the quality suffered when they strated outsourcing it. I am planning to split it open sometime soon. I was wondering if someone wanted to copy it and if so when I open it I could post specs. Yea the bike was unbelievable after they did it and continues to amaze me...
Cool.

So, generally speaking, what did they do to your forks?  Did they put in some sort of "Cartridge Emulator" like RaceTech sells?  Or did they just rework the damping rod somehow?  Seems like the only real solution is to make it a cartridge type, as the damping rod will only ever work in a narrow range.  What's the innards of yours look like now?

I believe they welded up the holes in the damping rod and put in new ones in different locations/sizes to work with the riders weight and rdiing style.
Cool.
