Why does the front page ask me to download a file when I try to go to it?
just the www.gstwins.com site, not the forum?
application/x-httpd-php
thats the file that firefox wants to download
Download it and let us know what happens. Well... if we do not hear back from you, then it must be bad.
maybe because its gstwin.com not gstwins.com :dunno_white:
Don't download it or your GS will get Starwalt's and Goat's and Srinath's :icon_lol:

Oh look at that gstwins is working again. Maybe it was a firefox thing :dunno_white:
I dunno... I pointed it out to a moderator back at the beginning of the month, when it was pointed out to me by a new rider that I had reccommended the site to..
Then a few days ago to a different moderator.
I figured maybe going public with it would make it fix alittle quicker?
if you get prompts for installing active-x trash or anything, i'd bet you're suffering a case of DNS poisoning.
there has been alot of it lately. timewarner, comcast, roadrunner all had cache poisoning issues in the last couple of weeks.
what does it mean ?
you type: http://www.somecoolurl.com
a "good" DNS (domaine name server) serves up the proper IP for you to go to.
a "poisoned" DNS serves up whatever IP someone WANTS YOU TO GO TO, that may or not be similar to what you're used to viewing. then you get into certificate issues, and credit scams really quick.
therefore:
never install activex junk, never download files just to view a website, and never allow plugins from untrusted sites.
:)
congrats on bringing it to the boards members.
^ thats why many people ditch IE for firefox- it doesnt support activeX
Rodger that! Firefox rules! IE dro'.... well its shaZam! actually.
