We're going to need to know the model year of your bike; the carbs changed in 2001.

a complete rebuild kit isnt a bad idea,  jets, floats, diaphragms, seals etc.  if you havent made any modifications to it, the OEM stuff is great.

"The best" is always hard to know, but check out [THIS SOURCE (https://www.partsnmore.com/motorcycle-carb-rebuild-kits.php?make=suzuki&category=carb_kits)].  Select
     GS500E K-P (89-93)
from the dropdown list.

(Yes, I know you have a 2000.  This kit will fit all models from 1989 to 2000.)

Notice that the minmum order is $35.  Two kits add up to $24, so poke around some of the other sections (Accessories, Tools etc) and pick up a few other things you may need.  A cargo net, jumper cables, and a pressure cable luber come to mind....

Gee ... it's been a LONG time since I ordered from partsnmore, so I don't remember how long it took.  But I ended up sending the carburetor rebuild kits that I bought to a fellow GStwinner who was desperate, and I still haven't replaced them.

I guess it's time to place another order ... but what will I do with two sets of jumper cables and two cable lubers?

I just ordered from them Sunday Morning ( so Figure Monday was the earliest it was  processed...).  Box sitting on my door step today when i got home from work.

They are in New York ( at least that's where my package came from..) and I'm in Maryland.

I just ordered a "rebuild " kit for My VX 800 to make the order meet the $$ minimum...
