$70 plus S&H which is just enough to cover the cost of having them made

This is just the ignition cover that we're talking about, right.  I do really like the polished clutch cover.

Is it my imagination or, is that a cooking tin for a catch pan in the picture???   :o

I've been toying with the idea of a left side myself, I only race however and run a total loss system sans the flywheel so what I would need wouldn't suit the street rider (I'd narrow the left cover to just clear the end of the crank)

Yes, its the ignition cover, the stock cover is easy to ground though  and bust up ign parts duing a right side crash that involves a long slide on pavement.

Its not your imagination, turkey, turkey loo....

Thats Rich's fine running GS450/555 mono shock conversion race machine. Rich is the man when it come to making power GS style.

My GS isn't on that page, I run the GS450 with the high pipes by HMF elsewhere on my site

I just took delivery of this cover a couple of weeks ago and pictures don't do it justice.  It's a very nice part and looks like it will stand up to lots of abuse.  No crash test results yet!

hey folks... a slight detour, but somewhat on topic.

today I took my 97 GS out for what was gonna be a 200 mile road trip.  It got cut short at 160miles when I had the hammer down (well, as far down as a wuss like me will put it) and my engine suddenly just stopped!  I pulled over and realized quickly that a bolt had fallen off of my case cover!! :x  I'm still a little perplexed about why i didn't loose any oil when the case lost pressure, but i digress...

I certainly wasn't gonna find the bolt I lost, so I picked up a new one at my local Home Depot.  I put locktite on all three bolts to try to ensure that this wouldn't happen again (I had to call in a huge favor to get picked up on the side of the road   ).  Are there lock washers that will prevent the vibration from shaking loose these bolts?  Or is locktite a better solution?

any comments would be cool.
