Title: 40 jets
Post by: Foximus on December 10, 2007, 04:54:26 PM
I bought jets today but they only came in packs of 4.   So I have an extra set of  40 pilot jets.    $8 plus shipping if anyone wants them.

Hello,Foximus
I've been talking to my dad and he's saying I'm going to high on mains by installing 150's he's got some 134's he's going to put in.So I'm going to half to not go with the new jets just yet.
Sorry I can't go that route right now.Thank's for emailing me.Steve...

134 wont do for K&N lunch box and pipe. If you got DJ needles it it may work.
150 are right, 40 pilots are needed in spite of a DJ kit, that thing does nothing for the low end really, and the only way a DJ kit will work right is if you set the float ~5+mm high, which plays havoc with other stuff.
Anyway, the stock needles work well, set the floats right at the top of the bowl (like they are supposed to be) and literally 40/150/3 turns out, 1 washer is a cinch. I do carbs for people and like a swiss watch I set them all the same way, and people pretty much toss them on and fiddle very little.
The price he was asking is good too, I'd charge $20 for the jets + bolts + washers and $1 shipping. All you have to do is buy some bolts and washers (prolly $2-3 total at Ace).
Cool.
