Title: SOLD!
Post by: Its Just Me on December 14, 2007, 03:41:29 PM
We I sold the GS this week and picked up a 25th anniversary edition VFR800!  Its been a great couple years with the GS and this board, thanks everyone for the help. :thumb:  I'll stick around as a non GS500F-owning member/chronic lurker!  Can't wait until spring and I can bring the new baby home!!!  Its going to be an extra long winter but a very sweet spring!!!   :) :)

Congrats on the purchase, I picked up my 99 VFR800 back in May, absolutly love it, this past weekend just finished up getting the GS working nicely and hopefully get her cleaned up this weekend to put on the market, don't want to sell her but it's the deal I had to make with my wife for the VFR!

I just traded my GS for a 75 CB550F.  I'll stick around to offer whatever I can, and occaisionally seek information for my buddy that has my old bike.

I will pop in and post pictures once I pick it up, probably some time in March... the dealership is storing the bike for the winter for free!

Aaaaah the viffer ... where honda tried to save 35 cents by not putting in a full frame that connects to the swingarm. Oh yea they can totally make 2 cylinders and 2 spearate heads and 2 valve trains, but noooo not a full frame.
OK OK harsh ... but it didn't affect the viffer as much as it affected the superhawk IMHO.
I'd buy the previous generation VFR over the 800 anyday though.
Cool.
Srinath.

They made a white one in 91 or 92. I should've bought that one when I had a chance in ~99. I had a white GS too at that time. Identical white almost (suzi paint gets more yellow with age than Honda I want to say).
Cool.

That's a pretty machine you've got there. Tell me the oil on the carpet is from your cage though. I know it's not the gs ;)

Ride on

Yeah.. I didn't realize that when I took the pics.. actually it's not from any of my vehicles, it's a piece of carpeting from the previous owners which they left when they moved out.  I will hopefully have some new pics of the GS soon all cleaned up!

Yeah, from that last angle it looked like the VFR leaked all that oil. I didn't know quite how to feel about that.
