are those custom rearsets or what manufacturer are they? look sweet.
They are custom made by Greg Gabis. He'll probably make another if you ask. He sold them to me for $150. They are machined aluminum and are extremely light compared to the stock set.

I know you mentioned this before but what did you have to do to remove the emmisions canister...your bike looks so much better without it than mine does with it.
Take off the cannister, and remove every hose on it. The overflo/vent from the tank can just run to the bottom of the bike with a zip tie. I removed the line completely, because the tank needs to be sideways for it to leak. There is a drain line that goes to a tee on the carbs. Remove the line and let it hang. That should do it.

Can you/anyone explain the hose removal for the charcole tank extraction.
I was told to just disconect the hose from the canister and let it dangle. What vacumm line are you reffering too, that needs a cap? The small one from under the carbs? Where the two hoses from next to the float bowl come together at a tee and go to the canister?
My bike seems to run fine but, I'd like to know for sure.

I had them open, but when I rolled the throttle, I could feel them sucking air. Seems like a vacuum connection to me but I could be wrong. The vent I left dangling is the one connected to the tank. I tried running it without them plugged again, throttle response is a tiny bit better with them
open I would just say leave it dangling.

OK, there are 3 tee's on the carbs. One is the fuel, another is the one on the top front (same size as the fuel) and then there is the one on the bottom connected by the two factory right angle hoses connected by the tee in the middle. This is the one I'm worried about. Should it be capped? I think it's just a drain hose.
Hmmm, anyone know for sure. I think it was Kerry that said just let them hang.

It is just a drain, but like I said I could feel it sucking air. I ran it plugged and unplugged, and unplugged had slightly better throttle respose, so just leave it open. I edited my post above to end any confusion it might cause.

Someone might have asked you already, does the RF900R shock bolt right in without mods? Does it modify the geometry or height of the bike at all?
BTW, don't you get all splattered with gunk without the chain guard? :?
I want...not your bike...that red 91....I have the blue...but the red is a close second...In 91 the primary color was the teal...the secondary was blue and the third was the red...and I have just seen 1 in person. Great...would be nice to have a red and a blue matching...his and hers type...

Yeah, the RF900 shock is a direct bolt in, but relatively hard to find. I use PJ-1 chain lube, and have not been splattered yet, and my rims stay pretty clean.
Oh yeah, it does raise the seat about 1"-1.5". It changes the geometry slightly. It gives it even quicker turn-in if that is possible. I actually like the change; it moves the center of gravity forward a little. I'm sure the rear sets help, and the Sub. Mach bars too.
