My step mother is an art and design curator. She sent me an email asking me about this. Quote "Is this a viable motorcycle part" was her question. (she doesn't ride)
Tell me your thoughts. Thanks gstwins. :thumb: :thumb:

It seems like a good idea for someone that forgets their disc lock. It would be hard not to notice your footpeg missing. Is it a viable part? The concept seems pretty sound, but it's all in the construction. If it is constructed well then it would definitely function on a bike. I don't know that a lot of people would buy it though. It's pretty beefy for a sportbike footpeg, and some people may not like mismatching their pegs. Did you watch the video on the site? It's pretty funny.
If they designed one to fit the passenger footpeg - there would be a good idea. I dont like the idea of having a big old heavy disc lock as my footpeg, riding is about feel and if one peg feels different to the other then it just wouldn't be right.
well depending on price, one can get two of them to match. BUT it seems more cruiserish tho
Disc-lock flag FTW. If they made one for the passenger peg it would be a nice way to store it- especially for a gs with no storage places- but then would defeat the primary purpose of the footpeg lock because you wouldn't notice it gone.
it is a VERY cool idea.. But I agree, If you only have it on one side it may feel a bit strange :thumb:

i heard those go off when you try to unlock it also.
Yes that is also true. I can not imagine a situation that you could take off before the alarm sounded
