Title: Gurgling noise..
Post by: DarkStarr on January 09, 2008, 12:05:34 PM
This is gonna sound real vague, but every once in a while I hear what sounds like a "gurgling" noise when winding down (07 GS500F), and it's only in the warmer weather.  Just wondering if it's a "Suzuki" noise or something that should be looked into..

Thanks!  :thumb:

Are you sure it's not coming from the rider...?   :)

Could just be your exhaust starting to talk a little. If the headers get loose you'll first hear gurgles, then pops, and in the case of a free flowing exhaust like a Vance and Hines + K&N you'll hear POPS! now and again.

Could also be the gas tank making some nice 'buzzy bees' noises. Mine buzzes like mad hornets around 6500 rpm but only when it's full. The DirtBikers could likely tell you alot about that. ;)

Thanks for pointing that out dude, it does occasionally pop but I figured it was some sort of back pressure.  I'll check the header tomorrow :)
