Title: Exhaust Questions
Post by: Jay_wolf on January 12, 2008, 05:17:01 PM
Just bought a new bike to do my project!!, after not able to get a decent rear end i liked so far , i got a bargin on a 2001 Gs , thats been Crashed , so the Front end is unuseable , but i got my Gsx katana front end ,

But it comes with another Uk Exhaust

Predator Exhaust ,its 300 pounds *600 dolllars* ..

Or my Current Nexxus *the website says 260 , but its more like 320 and with shipping* so over 700 bucks worth

Im having a link pipe custom made to turn one into the underseat exhaust , and sell the other ,

what one do u like

This is what im buying ,. and putting my parts on

Whoever's 500e that is has a NICE setup. Nexxus exhaust, katana front end, unmentioned rear shock, R1 taillight, clip-ons, some kinda digital speedo, and the charcoal frame with blacked out engine looks great.

I'd either go with Nexxus or V&H.

Just don't kick Elvis' ass and bust up his guitar like the guy did in the second picture ;)

were did u get that bottom pan for the gs?
Or did u mod it?
That second pic is nice.
Is the katana front just a bolt on or did u have to change the shaft?
Thanks, Toby

Thanlks Guys!, The onlything i didnt like is the tail on the 1996 , it looks to blocky and not to sporty... i love the charcoal frame ,

but im going to swop the belly pan, hagon and stuff to the 01 , and have it painted , i think Yellows going to be the plan !

picking up the 01 2day!

Toby: the belly pan is a universal one , it fits like 100 other bikes , we put it on a bandit 1200 , still looked just as good , the katana front end is just a filed down stem , and custom made spacers , fits a a glove , no shake , no wobble , its Perfect . Thanks D!

Congrats on your new ride, Jay.
BTW, nice model year & colour :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: (ok, I'm biased :icon_mrgreen:)
As for the exhaust, I like the Nexxus you have on your '96 best, if I can give my very own opinion. :thumb:
Best of luck for your project!

Just got it .. 400 Pounds!!! soo cheap , because the front ends bent liike a banana , but the mix of my 2 gs's should produce a excellent 2001 ,  the tail plastics makes the bike look so much sporter ,

It was the tail that made me want to finish the 1996 and put it all on the 2001 ,

after the parts im parting out , i think i would have payed nothing for the upgrade!

ooo and the predetor exhaust sounds amazing!
