Posting pictures and links has been covered a few times. The easy part is, host your images somewhere like imageshack, picasa, photobucket, etc, and then just LINK to it with the little buttons above the emoticons (IF YOU HIT REPLY NOW, YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN), one of them looks like a globe, next to it is a 'picture' framed. Use that.

It will look like <<<(http://blah.com/someimage-that-isnt-porn.jpg)>>> minus the <<<>>> of course. :)

Cool idea. Might just be the angle, but it looks like you mounted the turn signal into the socket for the seat locking mechanism ... So, do you turn the rear blinker to unlock the seat? :)

Cheers,

No I just mounted it to the rear tailpiece. Shortend them by 2 1/2 inches. Need to turn them down alittle. Also have a coil and wire for sail. Bought it and it was not the problem. It was wiring thet was messed up. Cost 90.00 sell for 40.00

Hello Sir Squidly ! Doing that kind of crap on public roads and influencing kids to be deviants is call for ... ah hell, I like your vid.  O0

Is that Sir Squidly the 2nd on the dirty bike ? Cool, looks like he's having a blast.

I love the kid saying 'did it leave a mark ?'

Ride safe man, the kids want you around :D

I think some smaller led blinkers would look cool on the back. I just installed some on the front and plan on hacking the back. It was about an hours worth of work. and a couple of dollar pvc spacers. I'll have to take a pic and show you what it looks like. Mine cost around 30 bucks.

Mine was FREE..... Thats the only reason I did it like that. I almost have all the brackets welded for the tail clip. I had to do alot of choping and mods but I used everything I choped off for the other peices. Yes it took a little more time and grinding that way but like I said before it was all FREE... Soon as I fix my wet camera...
Title: Re: Super GS500
Post by: TobySuzuki on February 01, 2008, 08:03:38 PM
When i finished welding I moved my batt. box down and I now have to put 2 single air filters on so the question is.......

How do you know what size jetts to use.

Will the washer trick work without jetts?

Whats the cheapest way to do this?

Any input would be great and I ll have pics saturday night.....Thanks to all.

That's one big ass!  Are you any good with fiberglass?  I'd try to shave it down... but very nice work otherwise!
Title: Re: Super GS500
Post by: TobySuzuki on February 18, 2008, 10:00:11 AM
The front of the peice just does go over the frame. I had to chop it to get the look I wanted.Once I get the front done it will be bigger and maybe even it out. Its all in trial and error right.....hahahaha
Title: Re: Super GS500
Post by: RobTheTyrant on February 18, 2008, 11:14:43 AM
that's right... if it doesn't suit the first time, you can always redo it but if it works the first time even better!  What are you doing to the front? Depending on what you've got planned, it may even it out.  I think an "f" fairing would take away from some of the girth of the rear.

servus,

nice work, but the rear is too fat for the smal GS.

take a longer swingarm in the bike. this will looks better.

isn't it part of fun to do the mods by yourself  :dunno_white:
anyways your bike your money  ;)
could you also, along with dyno results, attach "wallet results"   I'm sure people around here would appreciate you to write how much things cost you.
Thanks and good luck
I'm waiting for the results!!
You should also talk to KASUMI, he managed to "fit" POWER COMMANDER to GS500   ;) ;) ;)

I have listed prices along the way. Check some of the other pages on here. But to make it easy I traded a dirtbike 97 KDX 250 for my 98 GS with 2500 miles on it that was layed down, just some minnor scrapes and bent bars. dRAG BARS 34.00 New tire 110.00  I put 1100 miles on it had the head and rings done 600.00  Got ninja tail peice 50.00 Installed myself with the bars I choped off.......Free...... Bike shop was closing down and they had a 99 GS with ninja front end already modded to fit. Brand new 150/70/17 and katana rim already install on the bike. Complete bike minus the tank for 250.00 no title. Motor looks clean but no gauges so I dont Know the milage..Was at track this week and my bike was slower then it was stock. Made carb ajustments and modded the air box. !50 jetts and modded stock pipe.........

I was not thinking Batman when I did it but I hear that alot. Im saling this and anouther motor that runs great 12000 miles on it. Was rebuilt at 6000 at cycle world in Va Beach.
Have two other frames and and a 01 ninja front end, minus  calipers, and rim. Set of carbs minus  vacuum bag things on the top. 37.5 pilot 140 main. Stock headlight, stock tailpeice and seat. Katana rear rim 150/70/17 and shock. Only have  One Clean Title.......Make an offer for all or Ill sell parts to. I live in Norfolk Va. So you will have to pick up or I ll go up to 100 miles... I dont think a slipon will give me the POWER that im missing...Road my freinds 95 ZX6 R and it was a great feeling bike...I want a real sportbike.....Dont get it wrong, the GS is a very reliable bike and I road it for 2 years..Ohio and back twice..Good starter bike.
