okay, i'm kinda in a dilema. well, not really anymore. i've made my choice. but you know, it was one of those things that no matter what i chose i felt like i'd wish i'd done the other. tax time is coming up. i know roughly what i'll be getting. i've budgeted out some bills, (credit cards, a personal loan and adoption paperwork for my oldest daughter). i figured i'd have enough cash left over to pay cash for the lil ninja 250 i've been drooling over. well, our washer and dryer badly need replaced. and there's other odds and ends around the house that need fixing or replaced. after doing this, i'll still have money left. i could essentially put it down on the bike but then i'll be stuck making payments. i could afford the payments but it would stretch my budget to the max leaving me with no cushion. so i've opted to wait on the bike for awhile longer. :cry: good things come to those who wait right?
you made the right choice, you will quickly outgrow the 250. buy a 500 or something along that line. i came down from a TLR1000 to my gs and i am happy with the gs. 250's just don't cut it in north america, europe or asia sure but not on open road

Sometimes waiting is a waste of time, but, depending on how you want to ride, a 250 could be perfect or an underpowered disapointment, just go buy it and end the conundrum :thumb:
I think that buying a 250 new is a bad idea... It will loose MASSIVE value with just one ride. Look for a used one and save your self the depreciation. :thumb:
that is unless you were buying the new 250 for the new styling theres no comparing the looks of the older ones to the brand new ones.

honda cb125 have held value !!! the 250 should do the same
the new, updated styling along with the price were the biggest reasons for wanting the new 250. besides, i feel it'd be a good beginner bike for myself and i could also pass it on to my wife or maybe my kids. :laugh: seriously though, it wasn't my first choice. however, for the price of my first choice i could purchase 2 new 250's! :laugh:
