Hey guys. Im new to the board. New to the bike actually. I bought it for my girlfriend as a starter but must admit I love it as much as my speed triple. Anyway Im looking at doing the exhaust and cant find anything for an 89. Im thinking I might have to butcher a can from something else. Any help would be appreciated.
Vance & Hines and Jardine make exhausts for the GS :thumb:
there are a TON of posts on here about exhausts.. Check out the Search feature and type in exhaust
Personally I think an exhaust on the GS is a waste of $$$.... It just ends up sounding like an ATV and does nearly nothing for performance :thumb:
Also look here http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Exhaust (http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Exhaust). It has tons of information regarding the gs.
yosh if u can find a used one
I checked out several clips on YouTube of GSs with Yoshs and was appalled, they sounded like crap... :cookoo: Why?!? Do they really sound like this on a GS?
This was okay but the guy didn't rev it enough

I thought the best was the BSM Vampire, but I guess it's a personal taste thing.

I like the Scorpion look, can't find one to listen to.
But for that much money for aftermarket???!!! :o
I'll stay stock until something shows up used that will fit and I can grab.
