Hey,team! Just wondering if I could save a few bucks by installing my gs progressives in my Kat front end. Dan, Ken, Srinath, and Ben; please chime in.

They list them as two different part numbers...
1128's for the GS and 1126's for the Kats... Kat forks are 41mm I beleive...so I'm thinking no they probably wont swap..
You could always sell them and buy the "right ones" and not lose a whole lot....
Big difference in the OD of the springs, for ours at least. Our GS springs are 29mm OD, the Kat ones are 35mm. The OD of the new ones doesn't have to match exactly, but 6mm is pretty large jump.

And they are shorter than the Kat springs.
How long are the Kat springs?

Length doesn't really matter, you just cut new spacers to make up the difference. Schedule 40 PVC works well for that.
Once i get new oil, ill drop them in just to see what im working with. :icon_mrgreen:
There will be more side play in the springs, which can cause for fork flex. Not something I would do.

:dunno_white: Never measured them.I just remember the GS springs being shorter and smaller in diameter.
Cool, once i get my front end together, Ill post up my progressives and SM2's.
