after 8300 miles the squeaky rear brake has gone away. I did a brake fluid flush and it seemed to fix the problem. Its so weird to come to a quiet stop.

Got a little brake fluid on the pads ?
Mine comes and goes with the weather. I tried using anti-squeal on the back of the pads once. Didn't do much or last long.
I just don't use the brakes anymore, 'cuase it kills my MPG ;)
I too have this problem every so often. Annoys the crap out of me.
it WAS designed that way to make you learn using front brake more
yeah... it's annoying I'd like to get rid of that too but for now I just don't care.

mine was bad, then i used the syl-glide, the lube that you use on the pistons on theback of the pads and have not had an isue since
My new 07 is at 1500 miles and the rear break is still squeaking like the day i got it. Cant wait till it goes away.
No fluid on the pads, this is day 2 of no squeak. awesome. It might partly be due to less humidity as i moved from a PA valley to the VA city. But it was squeaking every ride up until the fluid flush, and i adjusted the rear break pedal just a bit to grab sooner.
for 8300 miles it taught me to use ALOT of front brake. And now i know the person in the car next to me is checking out my bike instead of wondering where the eeeeeeeeeek came from.
Thats funny mine does the same and ive tried everything. I also use the front brake ALOT.....
