Title: Newest Mod, Twin headlights
Post by: JasonB on August 17, 2003, 01:10:21 PM
Ordered them on wednesday they shipped them friday and even with the power outages etc they got here Today (sunday mail delivery because of the day mail delivery was missed). I promptly went out and put them on. All the plugs etc pop right in and nothing hard with that. Only thing I had to do to make it fit was cut the lip off the turn signal bracket on the inside as that kept hitting the back of the lights once you started to tighten the bolts down. Uses the stock bolts and brackets and headlamp connector. Comes with bulbs and has city lights also installed. Both lights work for high and low.

I got them from Busters in the UK.

http://www.busters-online.co.uk/catalogue.asp?section=3&category=3&product=6#

I think in the end I paid $130 USD for them the price they list in pounds has VAT included so you get like 17.5% off. The bill they sent me is in pounds and I checked my credit card for the charge and it was just under $130 like $129 or $128.

Havent tried them at night yet but will let you know once it gets dark here.

Check my post above for price, prob put it up just as you were typing.

As for the headlamp throw me a price for it cause its just gonna be sitting in the garage taking up space I dont need much to get it out of there.

I'm gonna be eating in a few then gonna call Bob to see if he is in Yipsi and then head up if he is.

Very nice.  What kind of bulbs do those take?  Wattage?

Same as stock bulbs just 2 of them. One plug connects it to the stock wiring and it splits to the 2 bulbs in the headlights.

They work as good or better than the stock at night, just have to make some final adjustments on where to shine them. Got them up a tad high.

are there fairings that'll fit?

Its still 7" across so any of the ones that fit and 7" headlight will work like my NC F-16 one there. Its just kinda flatter across the top, its actually better with the twin than the single for fit and not covering any part of the light at the top.

Busters also sells some very small visor sized ones that go over. Any of the buel ones people are using or whatever will work also.

That looks really good. will add it to my list of possibilities...if I could figure out a fairing I might splurge when I got some cash. It does look great!
