Oh yea, I see that now. Ocean front baby. OK your bike's problem - yea I have a good clue now. You may want to sell it to like ... me and buy something from somewhere like san antonio. Ocean bikes are not fun. I bought one from Myrtle beach, and one from charleston over the last 3-4 years. Each had its own issues. heck, I prefer dog chew bike (I bought one of those too ~18 months ago).
Cool.

I am thinking about trading it for a 97 CBR 600. Or you can buy it. Or I would trade it. I love it but I want something more on the sporty side.

How much and what is your window for selling it. I have a cow-orker who is dying for one, but I gotta get the 2 projects I got done before I can work on something. Now usually I'd dump it off at their place and work on it there, but this one is a city chick. Ergo, wifey = mad, and no damn garage at her place to fix it and yes, chickie got no tools either ... she thinks she has some tools to fix stuff on her house. I said, Yup, a spackle gun and a trowel. She said yup. I said, those are toys, not tools. You might want to get some real tools, like ones made from I dunno ... metal. Anyway, when and $$. I may let it sit there till I have time/space to fix it.
Oh yea, you got rust baby, I can smell the freaking rust that is in your tank and cloggin up the carbs etc.
Again its in the US ??? or is it like Brazil or somehting - just asking It sounds very brazilian to me, I'm good either way.
I'll tell her this hottie Brazilian chick has a bike.
Cool.

I would really rather trade than sell. Let me ponder on it a while. If you know of anyone with a CBR or GSX-R that runs good maybe you could buy that and then trade me....lol lt me ponder on it a but. And I am a guy in US. South Texas

Cool.

Yup, it would have made a good story. Anyway, just name a $$ and time. I'll get that to her, get back with you etc.
You want a newish GSXR types right. I would guess you need to look at it and really check it out before you buy. If you are looking prior to 1990 for GSXR's I'm your guy, or a cruiser or standard yes I know those well.
Cool.

I want anything that is sporty like the newer ones and can reach a good speed. A bike that has plenty of mod options and runs good. as in wont break in a few months.

Well aluminum frame is another biggie, ocean front is murder on the steel the GS is made of. Tank rust is almost a given and one tank on a bike I bought, the guy had it filled with gas all the time, and it had more rust outside than inside. freaking comical. I acid clean it and it blew holes in it outside to in.
If you find one in houston I can check it out for you. The GS for the longest time was my "fast bike". Now I got a couple of faster ones, like my maxim 5 valve 700 - hard core 80's muscle cruiser, but typically I stay with small sport bikes (GS'es) or large cruisers. I have bought the ocassional Katana too, though of late the transmissions on them are dying. Good luck with the GSXR hunt.
Cool.

Huh, was it from a guy in the (dont know) what area of town it is, but its on the east end by 8 just south of the I - 10 ?? and When ??
Also then you may have less rust issues. OK have to think more then. I met him at a junkyard, but it may not be the guy.
Cool.

Well OK I didn't actually see the bike, or get the guys name, and I am at best guessing where he lived from the fact that he came to that store ... yea I drove 40 miles from near Katy, so no clue ... he could be from anywhere ... maybe even from Brazil ...  :icon_twisted: ...
Cool.

Your area/county sounds like it should be right by brasil ...  :icon_mrgreen:
Anyway, I can rejet it or sell you the jets or well I have been buying packs of 4 X 3-4 packs from my old favorite store in charlotte. Atleast they are all broken in so they dont send me wrong sheite.
Anyway, you could find a local store, or buy from me, or heck screw that and just sell it for your GSXR, you can bet you'd never get the $$ and effort back. Only makes sense if the bike is going to be yours for a few years and you cannot ride it as is.
BTW what exactly is its problem ??
Cool.

It is running good now...changed the plugs and it helped a lot. BUT now I am trying to find the guy that last had the registration for it but I cant find the guy. So this is starting to suck bad. I cant really afford a bonded title right now. So it runs good but i still cant drive it.

Titleless wonder - yea too much of that crap I see on craigslist etc. Good luck there. No idea what, though city chick knows people in the lowest places. Like bus drivers etc let her get on free, and stabucks guys give her free stuff ... whatever ...
Anyway ... if it runs well, leave it be.
Cool.

so i guess while I wait for the title search quest i can save for exhaust, air box and jets. you wanna help? I can supply beer. haha

I'd love to help, but you're too far away, like near brazil  :icon_mrgreen: ...
I'd almost bet, you'd be better off not modding something you want to sell. Its not going to be that much faster. it will be a GS, just like, more so ... if that makes sense.
I can show you cheapo way to mod it ... but still time and effort - you'd never get it back unless you use it that way for a year or so minimum.
Cool.

I will probably have this bike for well over a year. Hell maybe forever. These bikes are hard to come buy in my part of Brazil.

I actually prefer like un commercialised beaches ... but I have been to some very very cool ones in NC. Outer banks. But ... yea in a month or so I believe we'd be itching for some water.
Cool.
