Title: Miami, FL USA
Post by: spencerlw02 on February 04, 2008, 06:39:17 AM
I just bought a 2002 GS500.  Does anyone live around Miami that would want to go for a ride sometime?

Hey, welcome to the GS, it is an awesome bike!
I'm about 1hr north (west palm beach area) and my sis goes to UM so i'm down there sometimes.
Maybe someday we could meet halfway (ft lauderdale boca area) and go out for a ride.
Also, id be glad to help with any maintanence or mods.
take care!

are you guys up for a little gtg/photoshoot this week? we could meet up downtown on the water, I always liked  shots of the bay.

Jeremy, my horn wiring is fubar, how good are you with electrical systems? or even own a multimeter?

let me know if you ever head any farther north than miami

yah i have a multimeter around here somewhere, a horn fix is pretty simple, not much that can go wrong: switch, wires, horn-- just a matter of testing everything. Worse comes to worse we can go get you a miniature air horn and wire a new switch. let me know if i can help.

I'm in Palm Beach. I was thinking of doing the Lake Okeechobee ride some weekend. I know they usually leave on early Sunday morning. Anyone interested?

I thought so, and I was hoping to squeeze some riding in that weekend... :icon_rolleyes:

I used to live in Hilliard. But we moved to Dublin last year, and I go to school in Cincinnati. After I graduate I'm hoping to move down to Florida. The thought of riding year round....ahhhh

A run down to Key West would be fun. I did that last summer, although it was on a Harley, so not as much fun.  :)

Yeah I know it sucks... My dad lives in Sarasota, so sometimes I ride with him down there. Hopefully after I graduate, I'll be moving down there somewhere, I'm sick of this off season called winter.

Yeah, I've been through Miami a few times and it was crazy. I would probably want to live somewhere in the middle, either east or west coast.

Do you mean drilling out your stock exhaust? Or buying an after market pipe?

Drilling Out first...preferred....not sure if u can, aftermarket pipes seems they need to rejet.

Here's a thread about a really reamed out exhaust. Not sure if he had to rejet, you may want to send him a pm.
