I need to swap my front brake line, with the bars I have it's way too long(about 3 inches). Can anyone turn me onto where I can get a -3" brake line for the front? That or does anyone know what size banjo bolts they are so I can just build a brake line that's the right length?
the wiki has the banjo bolt size and stock number. if i were you i would get braided brake lines...i have used them on all of my bikes and they are much better than stock.
yep, I am with Frankie on this one, I too am planing on investing in braided lines with all that I have heard about how well work. A friend of mine said he went to a performance car shop in Long Beach here in CA and got quoted a great price on braided lines. I know that does'nt help much, but it might be good to see if there are any performance auto shops in your area and if they can make you some lines too. Just thought. :thumb:

They should be the same ones- only the 89 front line should be different(shorter because of clip-ons).
Mark- you guys have a gstwin discount? :)
i had just put a new steel line on my 89 gs when i took it apart to fix my new f model. the line fit perfectly and works very well
The E's & F's use the same line according to the fit chart. Yes, I can give a 10% discount to anyone from here on these. PM me or e-mail at wbsfab@netzero.com for more info and ordering.

I'm def going with braided lines, but I couldn't find the banjo bolt sizes on the wiki... could be me, I probably looked right what I was looking for at one point. And if anyone has the stock length that's be the shyte too. Thanks in advance.
Just in case you are still wondering what the front-caliper Banjo Bolt size is:
Size: 10mm x 1.25mm x 22mm (replaces the old 24 mm) :thumb:
Part Number: 09360-10040
You can order it from a dealer, or go to your local bolt/screw supplier (always call ahead)!
Note: Applies to GS500E from 1989 through 1996.
Also, when doing the parts Fiche, the part is classified under "Front Master Cylinder", not under "Front Caliper".
Hope this helps.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of price would you have for single SS front brake line for the GS?
