Well i was just sat here slightly bored and thought wouldn't it be great to see where everyone works, what can you see from your desk/office/in the field. Do you start out across the Manhattan skyline from the 50th floor of some high rise sky scraper. Do you see nothing but a room of servers. What can you see? Post a picture of the view out of your place of work.
I'l start...

West Midlands International Airport (Coventry) ATC Tower :) My desk is to the left of the lady sitting there :)
view of the highway, forrestry college and mall. i am on the top floor on the south side :icon_razz:
A big expanse of nothingness.
and to think, one day, some astronaut somwhere will be saying, " guys check out this view of uranus"
Well, prior to retirement I had on office on the waterfront of one of the sticky-out bits top right, I still do a seasonal part-time job there but since retirement I run my little business from home so the view is my avatar (ish)

we are stuck in the IT closet so we don't have windows, we have a half door though
Window? hahahah, that's rich. I look at a cubicle wall. On the other side is another cubicle wall. If I look over, there is actually a third cubicle wall. Wait, there's 3/4 of a cubicle wall in the other direction. There is also an opening, and I have a sweet view of the copy machine.
This is the view about 20ft from my office.......not a blade of grass in sight!!

Job #3 Consists of Working for an Electrical Contractor who is Just Starting out.I don't have Pictures of any of that but I'll Get some Pretty Soon. :thumb:
Cubicles galore and the chubby women inhabiting them  If it werent for this computer and you all I'd go nuts.
wow juggy, must be nice!! I sit and look at an expanse of people passing through gates like sheep all day. (costco) But its all right, I love my job and probably couldn't do anything else. I'm an optician for costco and spend my time in the wilderness all summer camping when possible.
I have no windows :bs: But this is from outside my office door :thumb:

I am Dan02GS+casiUSA.
OK being harsh, I do have window access by walking into my boss's cube which is right next to me, and like I am within 6 feet of window. Outside of that window is a parking lot under construction and more buildings.
Cool.
Srinath.
Out my work window: A bunch of trucks. I work out of an office in an industrial park.
Home: A little better. Out MY window/balcony is the 7th hole of a world-class Arnold Palmer golf course. About 75 meters out my front door is the beach. Ohhh and watch rich Texans play golf is quite possibly the funniest thing ever.
Lol in complete contrast if i looked out of the farmhouse window to where i used to work all i could see was the farm yard and barns then fields and lower barns then more fields, and more fields after that and then the motorway and then more fields and then a small village lol went as far as the eye could see

I could be totally wrong, but I'm going to guess we're looking at the exciter end of around a 400 Mw conventional steam turbogenerator? Or, are we looking at the exciter of something
slightly larger? :icon_mrgreen:

Correct :thumb: that particular set in the photo was mothballed about 18 years ago for economic reasons but the other 3 that you cant see work fine and will deliver about 450MW each.

can't see much out the window except a few cars flying by on Wilshire.
Inside, it's all LA-beautiful people, in their 30s and up mostly. Its a lot darker than this usually.
