Both mirrors have 10 mm right-handed threads.

The mirror thread sizes can vary by model and manufacturer (in some cases, the threads are even in the reverse direction).

The Wiki has some useful info on compatible mirrors: http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Mirrors (http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Mirrors)

In particular, it states "The stock mirrors have a 10mm mounting hole on each side. Be careful of using mirrors from Yamaha and Ducati, which may use left hand threads."
