Just got some nice flush mount blinkers for front and rear. Took off the mirrors and a new K&N filter. Looks much better and runs fantastic. I will post a few pics tomorrow when I have some light. It was dark when I finished everthing and after my ride. Want to do the rear fenderectoomy soon also. Hope you guys like. Also will have pics of my brothers 05 GS i talked him into buying.
Congrats! Post those pics as soon as you can!
Sure will. FYI...I installed the new blinkers on the reflecor brackets...was a good fit for them....here is the link to the ebay page I got them from.

Not bad mate :thumb:
Did you have to add a regulator to stop them from flashing too fast?
Actually I rigged the hell out of it and left the old blinkers hoked up just hidden very well.
so I got my new shaZam! on and wrecked...

I will just say that the GS500 CAN do a wheelie....lol I just went outside and it starter back up just like it always has...just need to fix the tank shaZam! and I will be ok to drive it till I et everything else.
I'm all for stunting and such but pleeaase!!! Wear the proper gear in the end it is worth it. Now have fun making the bike better than it was.
Mary
There was never a doubt about wheelies , shame you had to go through all that to find out :icon_lol:
Heal well and take it slower :thumb:
Thanks for all your comments...i hurt but its not bad. The bike still runs the same so its all good. I am going to try and find a fix a flat kit for the tank and then try and go digital on the gauges. The bars are ok but I might go ahead and change them anyway. what are the weights for on the bar ends?
shaZam! man, I feel sorry for you!
but what did you do the flip a GS500? pop the clutch at 10,000rpm????
As for headlight, put an F model one on :icon_mrgreen:
get a replacement headlight and bucket from here. http://store.adjureinc.com/index.html
I ordered one from a motorcycle shop from this company and it is so much brighter and better looking than the stock one.
here is a pic of the one I got for the bike.

what are the weights for on the bar ends?
They're designed to dampen vibrations in the handlebars. I have removed them and replaced with aluminium aftermarket ones, and can't notice any extra vibes (they're
much lighter).
When replacing the bar ends you just need to be aware that Suzuki changed from screw-in bar ends to the more common ones with the rubber bung that expands. You will be able to see easily which type your bike takes by looking up the handle bar tube.
Btw, I picked up my ends for ~$15 - so not an expensive upgrade/replacement.
anyone know about undertails for our bikes? I busted the tail light too. Damn thais blows.
Jay_wolf, has or had one for sale. It doesn't replace the light fixture though as on a lot of sport bikes.
Ahhh thats why I wanted one...but oh well. So here is the video of the shaZam!. I know I am dumb for not having any gear on but take it easy on me. I have learned my lesson the hard way. Wont do it again that way.

I dont think your neighbors appreciated all the stunt action. Good luck on the recovery.
Haha they where all just watching. Not many of them speak a lot of english.

I too am interested in these blinkers - how directional are they? From what I've seen it looks as though they would be completely unnoticeable from >45 degrees from center behind you. The thing I like about the stock blinkers is that they're more out there in the cagers' faces.
By the way, the damage on your bike looks more severe than mine was when I dumped it at 50 on a highway...that must have been one hell of a crash. Seconded on the gear - wear leathers, they'll save your ass!
edit: and a HELMET!!! bloody hell.
wow. glad you're not hurt. :o You'll get better at it.
Thanks for all your kind words....the blinkers are seen decently at night from an angle but I havnt look at it in the light. I wil check and get back to you on that one.
If I was to put a 60 tooth on the rear....how do I know what chain size to get? And are sprockets universal? I am not doing a 60, I dont think, just curious.
