Title: Carb help
Post by: RyanClarke on February 28, 2008, 02:43:36 PM
Got my bike out of the shop and it had sat for like 3 months.  Needless to say 3 month old gas = dirty carbs and now she runs like crap.  Was taking the bike apart and found that one of the screws that connects the air cleaner to the frame is completely stripped.  Looks like the last person who owned the bike tried everything I tried because it can't be drilled out or grabbed with vice grips.  Tried using one of those "easy-out" tools with the reverse threads but no luck.  Any suggestions?

Dremel with a small cut off wheel or cone shaped grinding stone.Just go slow and don't rush it.
