Title: Thank you
Post by: Torsti on March 01, 2008, 10:34:18 AM
I wan't to thank everyone reading this. I found answers to many questions and also lots of other stuff relating to GS 500 in this forum. I just sold my GS and I'm searching for somekind of allround/enduro bike to satisfy my swamp and mud perversions (Which were found last summer with KTM 400 Military) :icon_razz:.

Thank you.

Yours,
Teppo Ronkainen, Finland

Actually...the GS500 is one of the coolest all-road bikes I've ever seen (when equiped with RM250 forks/shock and DOT knobbies on the stock wheels).

Oh yeah. The DRZ400 is emminently streetable and great in dirt from what I hear. Had one in the family, it was a sweet ride. Swapped it for a DR650, because the owner rides mainly on the street, and he wanted a cushier bike. We look back and thing heck, we shoulda supermoto-ed it, but I like my GS a LOT.   :icon_mrgreen:

On ADVrider they constantly turn SV650's or DL650's into worthy dirt bikes , a dirt going GS500 would be"the blast" off road ,lower weight somewhat torqey-ish

and reliable motor stout frame etc...  Has anyone ever done that to a GS or heard of anyone?

i've read a couple of threads here about dirt tires, and remember seeing one bike setup for dirty fun.

don't know that you'd search for though to find them.
