Thought it would be easy just to get some from them since I was ordering other parts..NOT. They of course sent me the wrong ones so I still had to get some locally here but now I get to pay twice.
The fun of putting on the GSXR wheel has started!
send them back...
Oh they will be, just sucks when your planning to have it done today. Good thing I found some locally.
I didnt buy them from the dealer they were about $35/wheel bearing. The smartest way to go about it is get the specs and call a bearing shop. I paid under $20 bucks for the pair and got a better quality bearing and fit is perfect. I was explained that that as long as the specs match you're OK! Got 8000miles on these and no reported trouble
Any power transmission place...you know the kind that sells chains and sprokets for machinery etc...In the most areas it would be Motion industries...but I have seen cheaper. Paid $6>50 each and I got one with 2 plastic shields. If you get that type I'd say remove the seals on the outer face before bangng on them. After seating put it back on...
Cool.
Srinath.
yep gave them the part number off the ones in the rim and he sold me 2 of the same ones for less than the dealer, way less! Got them in and tires on the GSXR rim but my bracket wont be done today so I'll have to hold off.
this is for the gsxr rim?
please post where you got them and the part number(s) so I can add it to the gsxr wheel page!
Thanks.
Well I screwed up on the bearings..I got the GS bearings from JCWhitney and they are a smaller ID bearing so when the guy saw the GSXR one with a larger ID he told me I got the wrong ones and didnt fit (they fit just different ID where I thought they werent the correct OD and wouldnt fit all this was over the phone) Well I got GSXR ones pressed in not GS ones now. Gonna swap them around tommorow. Just a misunderstanding with the guy at the shop.
