Hi ,
first mesage so first Hello :) , 29 from israel been riding scooters for 2 years before moved to a 2003GSE K3 which i love (been riding it just shy of a year) .
sadly i had an accident some time ago that made the right plastic crack and broke the things that keep the plastic attached to the frame two little plastic things that yo upush trough a hole (don't know how it's called in english) .
i tried to take it apart today to fix it alone and stoped because i noticed it might be theoreticly possible to do so but in practice you can't take one side at a time because of the thin black plastic that runs along both sides and is bolted in such a way that i have no access to it when it's mounted on .
so.... tried to take the whole unit and couldn't find how to take apart the key for the seat that is on the left plastic ? it appears to be glued ??
anyone has any experience with it ?
thanks .
I tried to search for unlocking the seat without a key. There is a cable that runs from the lock to the seat release. If you can get to the cable behind the lock, you maybe able to pull the end and release the seat.Someone may post a link to the post on releasing the seat without a key.

it was "screwdriver key" or "screwdriver lock" or similar. I'm not exactly sure because I was not able to repeat the search :cookoo: I may have missed it the second time around. :dunno_white:
(because I remembered a recent post where someone suggested a tool made from an old screwdriver)
After searching I just scrolled down to the classic title "Hello!!! I´m new!!! Can anybody help me with my seat cable?" :thumb:
p.s. while trying to repeat my search keywords, I came across this similar thread:

Cool.I was searching for seat lock and seat release.
thanks guys ,
but .. :) that's not what i was asking the seat is ok i just need to know how to detach the cable from one of the sides either the bike of the plastic so i'll be able to remove the plastic unit ... and work on it .
idealy i'd want to just pull the keylock from the plastic and then reattch it but i can't find how to do this :dunno_white:
there is a tab that is right behind the plastic, slide that off and the lock comes off. Then take the cable off by twisting it off.

just found some spare time to do it , how do u detach the cable from the key lock on the left side plastic , since the actual keylock house on cannot come off since its' thicker than the hole in the plastic ? i don't want to break anything ....
