Before I could even turn the bike on to warm it up it dropped! I set it on the side and went to shut the garage and as I turned around.. I saw it falling. I had no chance to catch it.. I scratched the new bar end I got as well as broke the clutch handle. HAHA I was so mad! Lucky for me, I had a spare one but by the time I finished it, all my friends made other plans.. So the ride will be postponed till next weekend.. Also, does anyone have any cheap suggestions on video cameras to record trips? Also, anyone know if any of that car touch up paint like at autozone, matches with our GS black paint?
Whats funny is the way the clutch handle broke, it looked like someone elses "custom" bar ends on their bike..
Also I got my friend to get a GS500, he got a really good deal on it, and were picking it up today. Will add pictures later tonight once we get it.

you can go to any auto paint store and they can mix you a touch up paint sorry and good luck
weird, both time my bike fell, it broke out my mirror and scratched the new ones... never has a problem with the levers
bend it back
slowly
wrap it in a rag and use something pipe like, done it plenty of times, did it 3 times today to bikes i was working on
If you have a digital camera that records movies, that may be all you need... It will help to carry around a few extra batteries if you're going on a long trip, and maybe a few gigabytes of flash-drive storage space.
I made a cheap camera mount (http://www.knick-knack.com/howto/motorcycle/cheap-handlebar-camera-mount.html) last summer... Probably spent $5.00 in parts total... Here's a sense of the quality... Lighthouse video (http://www.livevideo.com/video/0E4F2FC47018427582A8FFF6A556200A/lighthouse-route.aspx) with a cheap Sony Cyber-shot P72 Camera.
Good luck and post some pics / videos when you get back.
Cheers,
J
I made one of those PVC camera mounts. It works really well. Mine was also a little big. But, a little rubber padding around the handlebar between the mount, and it works like a champ. :thumb: Can't beat the price.
