I have had a lot of trouble sleeping for well over a decade now. I've tried all of and I mean ALL OF the typical methods of going to sleep that people tell you. Anything from sheets to head placement to a glass of wine, sleeping pills, diet no caffine, exercise and anything else you could think of. I started taking ambien to go to sleep. By god it works amazing and all my sleeping troubles are over!!!! The big side effects are that I sleepwalk and do things that I would not normally have done. The worst few times I decided at about 10:30 that I would strip my bike down to the frame and did until 3:00 in the morning that night. I have cleaned my whole kitchen, and made crepes one night which is funny because my wife said I was cooking up a storm and have never made crepes before in my life. Well last night rolls around and apparently I decided to buy some things online. I ended up going to ironpony.com and ordering new m2r racer-x boots, m2r freeway jacket and gloves for my wife and literally can't remember doing it at all. I hate taking drugs but if I'm not murdering anyone, or anything weird the worst thing thats happened is I've ordered new riding gear for me and the wife, then drugs aren't so bad. By the way, there are no reviews out on most any of the m2r stuff so for the boots and freeway 3/4 length jacket I'll be doing a writeup in the next few weeks or so.
well if youre buyin stuff. i need some computer parts :laugh:, but look at it this way, regarding teh gear. you're sleepwalking wiht safety in mind :bowdown:

fill with cream cheese then I make home made syrup basically just simple syrup then flavor it with the cordial of your choice, Kahlua, Amaretto, Cointreu... etc. ladel over filled crepes while it's piping hot mmmmmmm sugary sweet desert goodness.
did you try just plain old melatonin 5mg ? it's over the counter and cheap. you likely have already.
just be a night owl man. no need spending HALF you life snoring when you can be stripping bikes and ordering junk online ;)
sleeping is over rated. once in a while we'll stay up just to watch stars.

Surprisingly melatonin works great when I take 2 a day. One in the morning and one at night, it just makes me groggy throughout the day though. For a cheap herbal remedy though, it works great all things considered. I'm naturally a night owl, and don't try to go to bed at nine or anything, I take one ambien at 9:30 or so and it kicks in around an hour to an hour and a half later. Then I try to crash.
I have a similar problem with buying things. When I'm drunk I have a tendency to make large purchases for my bike. The last two in particular were my kat rear wheel and race tech springs. I'm surprised I bought the right parts. :laugh:
i fight battles and build bunkers at night. they have me on seroquell and valium to knock me out enought to stop that. for the most part it has worked
I've heard Marijuana works well.

1,000-1,200 mgs of calcium/magnesium from Savon or CVS or whatever, about an hour before you want to sleep, and if you add a 3mg cap of melatonin, bet you'll sleep. ;) The Ambien is scary, my Mom woke up in the middle of the night in the kitchen washing a paper plate, and my bud who was on cancer meds too had flashbacks to Korea and was yelling, crawling around on the floor and hiding behind furniture all night long. Supposedly it may end up a black box warning drug. And yeah, waking up with the neighbor and only one of you is smiling? ( :laugh: )
