I can't help too much but to say good ones!

They have to dissipate a lot of heat.

I new blinker relay would be the best option.

Awesome.  What are they called exactly?  What are the specifications?  I'm not sure how they rate them... in ohms I think.

You need a wagner 552 relay. Here is the link to the write up.There only a couple dollars at an auto parts store. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=16796.0

Where is the relay located exactly?  I don't see it on any of the wires I pulled out of the headlight, and unfortunately they don't mention the location of the stock relay in that guide.

Thanks

I believe it's under the seat or fuel tank.

here's what it looks like from the side. if you pull your RIGHT rear plastic loose, and remove the 10mm bolt on the seat lock, you'll have enough room to pull the old relay and install the new one. it's just a two prong relay, nothing special. i put butt terminals on the wires and soldered leads onto the relay, since there wasn't much wire to work with.

Couldn't find a wagner 552 so I picked up an off brand 12v 2 prong electronic flasher, I believe it's the same thing.  Is there a positive and negative on the flasher, or does it not matter which wire goes to which prong?  The prongs are marked "X" and "L"

An electronic flasher should work and I don't think it matters. If it don't work one way change it.
