When I woke up this morning it was pretty crummy out. I had picked up my GS400 last night in the rain which kind of sucked. Then slowly the clouds cleared and it became a beautiful day. I got the 400 polished up and then took the GS500 out and performed some pre-season maintainance. I lubed the chain and set it to the proper tension, put in some new fuel, pumped up the tires, checked the oil...etc. She started right up and I was off. Unfortunately no insurance so I just rode around the block. This week I will be putting the insurance on the bike and I can't wait for the weekend.
People in NJ, NYC, or PA, we need to get out and ride....and SOON!
yew I did enjoy the weather! It was very nice outside, indeed!
As to the NY, PA, NJ meeting check this post: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=37505.0

Crappy?
Hey, I never had leather until a year or so ago. lol
Looks like a speed racer in training there. :icon_mrgreen:
I did the oil and gave it the yearly wash down. Glad that's over. Shouldn't have to wash it until 2009. Probably have to do the oil again in a couple of weeks.

he's still fascinated with the gas cap on the gs, gotta break him of it, THEN he's getting throttle control trainin ;)
leather ? ohhhhhhhhh, you mean that hard as nails seating surface, from 11 years ago ? ;)
we only buy the highest quality ultra luxury sedans (from 10+ years ago), we're snobby like that (hell ain't gotta dime after paying the taxes), and by god we deserve it (no, not really, even with the old junkers being considered!) ! ;)
i haven't ridden in a week. i actually looked longingly at a rolling traffic jam of HD's today. that's as close as I got to riding.
tomorrow will suck equally. 3 oil changes, 2 details, 1 new set of tires, and buying crap for a timing belt replacement NEXT weekend. cages SUCK ! :(
least I get to ride the gs to warm up the oil :D

Gah! I liked my VW Rabbits and Fox for that. Slip off the top cover, one bolt on the bottom cover. Loosen the MANUAL tensioner, slip on the new belt, put the covers back on and go. Only thing was after 400,000 miles or so each new belt would whine for 30,000 or so miles while it wore into the worn timing sprockets. If the belt did break, who cares? Non interference design. :icon_mrgreen:
Now, my car has THREE! timing chains and if any one of them breaks the engine is done. They say they're good for the "life of the engine". That's true, if they break the engine no longer has a life... But I have leather! :icon_rolleyes:
here in atlanta ga it was 75 thursday march 13. it was almost just as nice today.
