They look good, but are they bright in the daylight?

They are great in the day light as well! I was pleasantly suprised how nice they came out. I installed them into the stock holes and used pvc gaskets from auto zone to space them out a little. They went into the stock lines I did use a kurykurin load balancer in the back , had to take out the turn signal indicator lamp for them to work, and a new relay.  For me installation wasn't fun but hey guess it takes a little hard work sometimes!

Yeah, I wish I could have blacked out the licsence plate but picasa doesn't do that either. Why exactly is it a bad thing to show the plate. I mean everyone who drives around sees it. I just don't want issues!

Thanks OhGood for getting the pics up!

hey i noticed the little handicap symbol on your plate.
does that mean you can park in handicap spaces? if so then AWESOME

There's no real concern in blocking out the plate. People can see it on the road anyway, its just more to keep yourself anonymous.

Did you wire those yourself? What kind of LEDs are they? :) Good job! Can we see some night pictures?

As soon as I can balance on my ankle I will do some night pics!

Yes, it is nice being able to park in the handicapped spot. Especially at the mall after I've walked around for a while walking back is a bit tough and it saves time and energy. I try not to use the spot though except when I truly need to.

The wiring initially wasn't that hard. I just didn't know that I needed a load balancer and relay. Also, I had to take out the turn light indicator. I bought a diode so that I can replace it. If I knew then what I knew now it would have been probably a couple of hours but it took me about five days of a few hours at a time to figure out what was going on. Over the weekend I will try to set up a step by step and find out the name of the blinkers that I used.

At first rhode88 I thought you were directing that at me. But, I just noticed it was to jeremy my excuse is a krapped out heart. But, you have no idea how many people give me weird looks and one lady even had the kahunas to tell me I should be ashamed of myself I wanted to beat her down with my helmet but I digressed and just rode off. Right now though Murphy's law is in full effect I'm on crutches and can't find a handicapped spot to save my life!

Does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to install the diode onto an 04gs ?

A diode can only be installed one way. The other way it shouldn't even turn on.. :) Just wire it one way, and do a quick test, if nothing change the wiring and test again.

Thanks, the ankle is getting better slow but sure. I'm hoping tomorrow after church I can hobble out with the help of a chair and try the diode out.  We shall see though!

Mary S., have you seen this?

http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=40228.0

Looks like it matches your GS, and it protects the delicate components (signal generator, ignition advancer, et al.) on the right side of the crankcase from crash damage.

Anyway, thought you might want to know about that crank cover; the cheap little piece of tin that comes stock doesn't provide any protection. I had a similar cover on one of my old Hondas, and it saved my ignition when I crashed during a race.

If nothing else, it really is a pretty color; I'm going to ask chuck81 to make one for me when I finally decide what color to paint my GS. I've narrowed it down to red, black, or yellow, so I have to pass on that blue one.

Hope you get well soon; please let us know when you're back on the road.
