Title: WTB: stock brake caliper front only and SS Line.
Post by: bombadillo on March 21, 2008, 09:20:14 AM
I'm looking for a good working condition stock brake caliper for the GS.  I don't believe mine has the retaining spring in it.  I get a constant whirring sound now when riding.  P.O. didn't put it back in when pads were changed and I don't see them in.  If anyone has extra springs, I could pay just a few bucks for that.  Any other upgrades as far as other rotors would be fine too if it'll work with a stock caliper.  Anyway, let me know.

Make it $100 with the GSXR shock for caliper and I ship it all in 1 package and save shipping on 2 items.
SS line ??? have to look for that though. That alone is $25 +
BTW, whirring sound ... or a sorta sucking noise - if all stuff is good like pads and disc, you may just have a sticking caliper or a type of pad that does that. EBC grees do that If I remember or some make and model pad does that.
Cool.

Yeah EBC's make a whirring noise, something about air pockets forming in the cross drill holes.  My Brembo's do the same thing.

GSXR shock for caliper meaning just the left shock, or both forks???  I'm just trying to figure out all you're offering here for a hundred bucks.

You talking shaZam! about the dollar??  Don't forget, much like Ducati, we have more than all others combined.  They were talking about MotoGP wins, I'm talking about nukes.  Lets do this.

What the hell is the exchange rate now??  I heard it was a bit over 2US to a pound.
