Title: K&N Restrictor?
Post by: darb85 on March 22, 2008, 03:29:21 PM
Ive got the K&N drop in and have noticed recently that people are talking about a restrictor?  Is this something that i can take out?  I know ill probably have to rejet, but im doing that anyways with my new exhaust.

Cool Thanks

Brad

If you remove the restrictor you'll have to rejet.I can't find a pic or thread with info on the restrictor. From my understanding it's a plastic or rubber ring inside the opening of the filter. It simple pulls out.I never use drop ins. They are more expensive and require more frequent cleaning than the lunchbox filter.I always replace the air box with a lunchbox.Personal preference.

It looks like this but black and rubber and is on the intake side of the filter.
