Title: Re-wiring Stripped Bike
Post by: Howie1966 on March 23, 2008, 10:25:25 AM
First let me explain im a newbie to this site and my problem is ive  had my frame sandblasted and powder coated. Engine re-installed into frame and now trying to re-route the wiring harness.(should of photographed the bike before dismantling.

Ive got a Clymer service repair maintenance manual but this doesnt help much.

If by any-chance anybody has photos of how the loom is routed through the bike id be very much appreciative. otherwise the bike will stand for yet another month in its naked state.

Thanks

We might as well see some more photos from Andre / Bobbleboy, directly from his website:

Nice red GS (looks like the '96 US model), with dark wheels, frame, and engine...

Thanks for posting those photos, Andre; I like the overhead shot of the camshafts best:

I did that powdercoat thing too ... people here made fun of me.
I also did the rewiring on 2 bikes in the last year. Easy. Toss the wiring harness on the frame, and sorta hold the 2-3 bits that you know where they go, like regulator plug and headlight and tail light, and it will fall in place.
Cool.
