I am doing plate flipper mods on bikes in Arizona for $75 installed ($50 for gstwin members) states over budget so they've been installing speed cameras like crazy, 11 miles over the limit costs $185 dollars ouch! These flippers will rotate your plate 90+ degrees out of view in about 1 second, they run off 12volts and can be installed on most autos too. I am attempting to attach pic below.

What's the fine for getting busted with a license plate flipper?! :o
 Just like the plate cover's "use at own risk" or "Novelty" be aware of whos around you. Do it in front of a cop and yea your asking for problems . I make them look stock so if you do get stopped (for something else) it wont be noticed.

Cop I talked to here said there isn't a fine for tag flips. The statute here says it must be at the rear most part of the bike, secured with RED reflector bolts etc.
There isn't a fine, because that's going to come under the officers discretion. "Improper Tag" sounds like a winner, if anyone ever notices.
If the guys manning the speed cameras catch on, they'll whine like hell, call all bikers 'outlaws' and 5 years from now they'll pass another law. Damned if you do... etc
So you're using a relay and an actuator ? Does your setup flip it back down too ?
Mr. Bond would be proud :)
Yup it goes up and down

I also do autos, lol !
Trust me i know, how important it is not to abuse it.
If i want 2 of them, whats my price shipped to SOCAL. I can install myself.
thanks
I like it :thumb: illegal as hell EVERYWHERE! but very cool :thumb:
In a HWY camera situation, how do you know when to flip it? You cant ride for very far w/ it 'on/up' :dunno_white:
Stupid question:
Don't speed cameras look DOWN from a tall pole? Wouldn't they still be able to read the tag flipped face up? I would think face down would be more stealthy.
Not that I'd install one. I can only imagine the shaZam! attack a cop would have if he saw one on my bike. :o

Keep your eyes open, lol. There are a few freeways out here were their fixed on poles, or they park a big white van on the side of the road. Usally you dont see them untill you're almost up on them, plenty of time to flip it but not usually enough time to slow before you trigger it.

Nope (besides the fact it rests almost flush against the bottom of the light) the camera can only see on a one dimentional plane, no depth. I even went as far as to climbing on a camera a few blocks from my house to get a better idea of what it sees, is all good beside state law states if one number is screwed they can't mail it.

Ill check, zip code?
Thanks for all the feedback
