Like? dislike?I don't know you but so far I found you to be straight with your posts.Info you pass on is usually correct. As far as opinions I'm sure we would disagree some. It's hard to like or dislike someone you don't know in person.Just my opinions and experience.

He ask for it straight,I gave him what he ask for.I'm sure bettingpyton and I could be friendly with each other if not friends in the real world.I have no problem with him and no complaints about anything he is/has done on this or any forum. The intenet, for me anyway, has a certain function that I can use if anyone or anything starts to bother me.I click on the red x in the upper right side corner.Sorry, that was a little smart assy, but you get my point.

and for posteritys sake, a politically correct translation of ruldolph the red nosed reindeer

Original text is followed by the "politically correct" translation.

Original:       Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer ...
Translation:    Rudolf was a four-hooved ungulate,

Original:       Had a very shiny nose ...
Translation:    Who, incidentally, possessed a nasal appendage
                of a maroon lustre.

Original:       And if you ever saw him ...
Translation:    Consequently, if circumstances were to present
themselves that he ever came into your view,

Original:       You would even say it glows ...
Translation:    You would most  undoubtedly remark at to its
                illuminary qualities.

Original:       All of the other reindeer ...
Translation:    The multitude of other members of  the population
                in his ecological community,

Original:       Used to laugh and call him names ...
Translation:    Had previously teased, chuckled boisterously,
and dubbed him unspeakable pseudonyms --
the objective of which was to lower
his self-esteen and make him miserable.

Original:       They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games ...
Translation:    They also excluded him from participation in leisure
                activities consistent with their species.

Original:       Then one foggy Christmas eve ...
Translation:    However, on the twenty-fourth of  December in an
                unspecified year,

Original:       Santa came to say ...
Translation:    A mythological, supernatural being inherent to
western culture (who symbolizes the Christmas
attitude and allegedly brings gifts to children)
arrived through the supersaturated, humid air.

Original:       Rudolph, with your nose so bright ...
Translation:    He formally invited Rudolph, due to his extraordinary
                nasal characteristic,

Original:       Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Translation:    To stand at the forefront of his snow vehicle
with the express purpose that he navigate through
                the nocturnal mist.

Original:       Then all the reindeer loved him ...
Translation:    At that point, the multitude of other  members
of the population in his ecological community
who had previously teased, chuckled boisterously,
and dubbed him unspeakable pseudonyms, reversed
their disposition toward  Rudolph to a more
                congenial, amicable relationship.

Original:       And they shouted out with glee ...
Translation:    They consequently exclaimed with great
                exaltation and fervor,

Original:       Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer ...
Translation:    Rudolph, the antlered mammal with  a maroon
                nasal appendage,

Original:       You'll go down in history!
Translation:    You shall most certainly be recorded in the
annals of time and your memory will be preserved
                for posterity!

RC51 ehh,  Honda's attempt to match Ducati.  Just messin, kinda, I like em, haven't ridden one but they sound sweet and the numbers don't lie.  Private party is the way to go on those though, dealers expect damn near brand new prices on em just like Duc's.  You make it down let me know, bike week is coming up in Myrtle Beach and I'm thinking I'm heading up that way sometime during the event.

Attempt to match ducati :cookoo:

They spanked em and took 1st place the very first year of competition in WSBK
won first place in canadian superbike the very same season.
Factory AMA rider Duhamel was out due to crash injuries but Hayden took them to a second place season finish.

Yeah Ducati got their asses handed to them. And with the new displacement increase for twins in WSBK and AMA the rumor is out that a new 1200cc vtwin possibly dubbed the rc61 may be relesed for homologation and competition in 09

Gosh, from where I'm standing it looks like Ducati holds 40% of the top ten in point standings to the other manufacturers 20% each :dunno_white: :dunno_white: Bayliss won both races in Australia and one in Qatar with Xaus taking 2nd in the other.  Count em, Bayliss, Xaus, Biaggi and Fabrizio all on Ducs all in the top ten with Bayliss quite well in his standing.  What the hell is Honda racing?? A turd sandwich??

That is all.

See, you're honest and you love your wife. That's a real treasure to find in a guy in my book (okay, you know I'm of the female persuasion here (I'm not a ghey guy, not that there's anything wrong with that   ;)), so I'm serious, that's a real woman's point of view.)

Now, I know it's not a Duc thread, but I saw a red 2001 Monster 750 today and went head over heels... how far off is $5k for a did I say it was red? with 15k on the clock? I've been pricing them for awhile, it looked really clean and still has some warranty left on it. I really can't have one yet, but that's the range I was thinking is almost doable. But then I figured it would probably need like $2k worth of work, and they're fussy Italians. I'd probably have to bribe it with a shot of espresso before every ride.

Teek!!!!  an '01 M750 is the exact same engine as my duc.  Honestly, the maintenance just isn't that bad.  Cacycleworks has a couple of instructional videos on youtube of everything from changing your oil to adjusting your valves and replacing timing belts.  5k seems about right for an 01 M750, and I would really doubt it needs $2k worth of work.  The worst of regular maintenance is reserved for the superbikes at 6k miles and even that is usually only $1300 or so.  The stock bike should ride pretty nice as all the little bits and pieces that affect a bikes ride are pretty high grade stuff (brembo brakes, marzochi suspension) and power is going to be pretty markedly better than the GS but still easily manageable.  Even mine that I found out has been ported/milled and has the FBF high comp pistons is very predictable in the throttle.  Not to say predictable is mild though, she'll power on up on one anytime I roll it on from a low RPM.

Teek,

The "I am Calamari" caption on my avatar came from a discussion in another thread where someone threw out a statement that superbikes and supersports were all squid bikes and people who rode them were squids.

Technically I am a "Hooligan", Squirelly Kid phase was passed many years ago.

$1300 is just on the race breed 4v motors and only at the 6k mile mark.  All Ducs get a hefty service at 6k so I would look for one with service records and more than 6k miles.

Well it appears that (e-prime language) he is a fine white Christian Southern gentleman. He is quite a contrast to the liberal loonies which seem to be in  extreme abundance these days. For a "reference point", I'd like to know where the hell he lives!!!

No shaZam!?????????? We were there last summer and my son was at that damn skate place.........(my son was an avid skater at the time) and "they" called us.........we'd left him and his buddy from Baton Rouge there while we went shopping.
He went up high and landed on his sternum on the freaking ramp doing some kind of a turn about. Anyway........that was scary...
Tulsa reminds me of downtown Baton Rouge. Well.............kinda.........and .Oklahoma City exits look just about..........LIKE Baton Rouge. Hell, just different names.

Planning on taking vacation in NOLA again middle of next month. Already got our rooms booked. We like staying at the Place D'Armes over by Jackson Square.

We were just there last summer, you down around Port Vincent maybe? I saw you told frankie you were 20 from Baton Rouge and 50 from NOLA.

Port Vincent is just a few miles away. Maybe 5 or 7 as the crow flies.

My wife is an art connesieur as well as having an art degree. The architecture of the "quarter" always makes her happy. Let me know if you want to "meet up".  Now you have to remember..........we are "older people".       :)

I'm gonna tell ya something...........somebody..............even went as far as to erase my position on the "map" , the GS500 map.

How sad is that? A lot of people gave great  effort to erase me totally. There are 6-8  "kneepad" members on here.........one "kneepad" moderator in Aussieland and 2 moderators that need "replacement".  Oh............wait...........I'm sorry................
I forgot one...........

is Kasumi in England? He needs his nuts clipped. WHO is that STUPID BASTARD............that says Pandy is "my GS MUM"........
WHO is that STUPID BASTARD that types........"all GS500 lay on their side before Pandy"?

We need a forum that is run by non-emasculated men. We need MEN.
