One of them has to go, but I cant make up me mind. The other half thinks 4 bikes is too many

personally I think the color scheme of the red/black is far more sexy than that paint-can matt black look you have on the other one... bleh.
so... sell the red and black better chances of selling it . ;) how much you want for it ?
What years are they. Need more info (miles, years, $$$)
Personally I like the grey one, very industrial-looking and unique. ;)
Plus it has gaiters. ;)
But, one mirror. :icon_rolleyes:
Sorry about the repost, PC crashed on me so I started again.
Both are 98's red one got allmost 70k on the clock, black one got only 15K on the clock, but was VERY scruffy, hence the matt black and hemerite.
I like the matt black look, but that one rattles from the top of the engine, sounds like cam noise but I've not investigated too far. They both ride well and start first go on the button. I have the other mirror for the black one, but as I beleive only one is required by law I left it off. The GS has been my ride to work every day and the one I keep will continue to be just that. My other bikes are toys, so dont see any bad weather. The black one has better tyres which is kinda making me sway towards keeping that one, and the lower mileage has got to be good.
Red one cost me £500 2 yrs ago with 24K on the clock, the black one was a swap for some Landrover wheels I had lying about in my garden.

Wow! 46,000 km (29,000 mi) in 2 seasons! :thumb:
Do you ride year round?
reguardless of milage and stuff, the red one looks niiiiiiiice
Your other half is clueless. 4 bikes is just right, they take up one parking space. There's no such thing as "too many"!
I'm starting my own twin collection:

Tell her you need to keep the other GS for parts. That way you want have to drop a wad of cash for new ones.
Sweet mirrors on the red and black. I've seen a few round ones on eBay ... darn they dress up the GS nicely. Do you know where you got them? (drroool)

Those numbers are miles bud, 70K meaning 70,000 miles. So 46,000 miles in 2 years. 35 miles each way to work and back all year round, plus weekend riding if the weather aint too good and I dont want to et the big one out.
I ride in any weather as I dont have a car, bikes are my only transport.

Both the bikes came with the round mirrors, I just thought they were standard. I have both mirrors for the black one, but the thread is gone in the mount for the other mirror which explains why it didn't come on the bike.
