Title: FRIED SOMETHING
Post by: suzukimx4789 on April 01, 2008, 06:49:37 PM
ok i cut the wires to my ignition at the key ignition and i bought an aftermarket ignition as i was working the red wire arced on the forks and shorted something i now have no power going through any of the 4 wires...what did i fry???

i ran a temp power to do the ignition work now i can turn the key 1 click and run with no lights and trun the key 1 more click and run with lights and turn to "start" and turn over the bike..bypassing clutch and kickstand switch....i can still just turn to on and start it like normal where you have to use clutch an have kickstand down also

This post from Kerry might help:

What Pkaaso said:
Quote from: PkaasoIt's behind little red door marked FUSE if i remember correctly.  The one in the rubber feels like it is in a socket but it's not.
Maybe this picture will lend a little more clarity:

The "active" fuse is under the red cover marked FUSE 20A.  The dark yellow spare fuse is pushed into the rubber "retainer" on the right end of the same (starter relay) assembly.
