hey guys/gals.
Just wanted to say how great this forum has been to me, but its time to leave. Near the end of last season, i crashed my gs, actualy a car hit me, the bike was totaled, but i was not. So this season, i decided to go for my 'dream' bike and get a ducati, got the 695 wich is slightly more powerful then the gs was, but should be easy enough to control.
Thanks again, for all the great advice i've gotten in the last year.
TT.
pics man. pics!
Sorry to hear about the GS. But glad to hear you are ok. Nice bike!
thanks, i got some road rash, and a pair of ripped shoes, but nothing too bad. Here is a picture of the new bike, not the actual bike, but identical.

!! The styling on that beast always blows me away. Glad to hear you're alright. Should be fun having 200cc more.
Definitely will move up to Duc or Triumph (to each his own) in a couple years after my ol' GS bites the dust.
Gorgeous! Best of luck with the new wheels.
Welcome to the club!! Nice looking lil' monster there. Keep your valves in spec and your timing belts fresh and adjusted and she'll be a fun ride :thumb: And don't let all the Suzuki and Honda Homo's talk crap, they're just jealous.
what a great looking bike, congrats and good luck. please do not feel as though you need to leave the board just because you got a new bike. we love everyone who rides :) and maybe a few that don't
thanks, I haven't really had a chance to ride it yet, but once i do, i'll post a comparison to my old GS500.
I can read it already...
that things is a monster with torque power and speed....
thats because duc's are monsters in torque power and speed..
I rode a Monster 650.. OMFG! that thing would just not give out on torque and power.... got to 120MPH in a blink of an eye... then I realize I should slow down before a cop pulls me over..
enjoy!....

Droollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll! Nice bike dude.Be careful.
finally picked up the bike today, and it was an amazing first ride. The growl of the exhaust,to the power. It will take some getting used to how sensitive the throttle is compared to my old GS. Same with the breaks, they are very sensitive. I have to keep it below 4K for the break in period, so can't really take advantage of all the power, but it feels great to ride again.
Funny in the ducati world, this bike is a beginners bike, but for me, its plenty.
Congrats on the new bike. :thumb:
I've always liked riding those monsters... I do think the only flaw is that they need some kind of chin spoiler. Anything on the bottom of the front end to finish it off. But very much congrats on the step up... I = very jealous!
Ha, I read the title of this thread thinking someone was doing some outrageous conversion of their GS. I'm very disappointed. But yeah, anyways, beautiful bike. Enjoy
