Title: Bar Ends
Post by: Villager on April 08, 2008, 06:53:56 PM
After I put heated grips on my GS the bar ends won't fit back on properly. I can get them on tight, but on the throttle side this impairs throttle movement. I can either leave them off or shorted the heated grip (would rather not).

How valuable are they to have in the event that I drop the bike?

When I got my bike the PO had 'lost' one of the bar ends.  :cookoo:  The handlebars were, much to my dismay, totally full of water and rusty gunge!

When the bike is parked on the side stand the right-hand bar sits upward and in goes the rain.  It then collects in the bend and never leaves.  So a bar-end of some sort is a definite must.

loosen up your thotle and slid it a little further on the bar you want to have a lil bit of space between the bar end and the throttle you should have plenty of room to add heated gris with no problems so try that and see if it works
