Hello Fellas and Gals!
Before everyone gets mad at me for taking a ride without all the gear for my passenger, we only went around the block. I didn't go over 30mph and there was no traffic. Also, we used go to school on a Honda-matic 400 when we were young AND PREGNANT.
So enjoy the few pics my 2nd oldest daughter took. She is too classy, as I wanted a pic from behind, but she wouldn't even do it by accident.
And one other thing, we are not light-weights, but the GS was able to handle us pretty well.

Looks like fun!

Don't we all? :icon_mrgreen:
Time to get her some gear and into the MSF. :thumb:
Thanks for the compliment GeeP, my wifey will be a little happy.
Is the GS up for two up riding? I took a passenger and it didn't feel nearly as composed as even my honda rebel did. Or do I just have to set my rear preload to 8?

I'm going to go ahead, make a wild guess, and say that's what the rear seat is for.
Looks just like my gs :icon_mrgreen:

Just be careful! I almost broke my ankle two miles from home and not technically moving. But, I'm an idiot too! At least wear jeans.
Nice pics!

qwerty, I use my GS all the time to take mates around school. Granted, we're both pretty light (< 260 ... hang out with a lot of dancers). Seems to handle pretty darn well.
squids ! ;)
i guess she likes it then, being on the back ? cool, first time my wife ever got on a motorcycle she was pregnant with our son, laughed and smiled the whole way. that's pretty cool you're raisin the kids right - she knows what kind of shots aren't cool to do :)
enjoy the ride, got any pics of the cb still ?

not sure if you were joking about 8 or not, but ya, you'll want to set the preload to 7 on the rear spring. makes a huge difference for 2up.
i usually ride with it set to 3-4 and i'm around 210-215 depending on the fridge.

No, Not even any old pics. This was 20 years ago, but I wish I did have some pictures.
One story about that bike, it was never titled. My mother bought it for me for $75.00. A bro-in-law wanted to learn to ride. This is a Honda-Matic for crying out loud. He got on the bike, while it was on. I showed him the brakes, and that there was NO clutch. He let off the brake, rolled a little, and saw a car and panicked. Full throttle across the street, which was about 10mph, I guess, and crashes into a stump on the other side of the street.
My bike was in shambles.
My bro-in-law had a small gash in his shin. My father-in-law poured alcahol directly on to the cut. AGONY! Then my father-in-law tried to pay for the damage to my bike, but I refused it.
Again, my mother came to the rescue and bought me all the parts I needed to make it look good.
Wish I still had that thing.
