Title: anybody know anything about interceptors?
Post by: lnb001 on April 12, 2008, 06:20:26 PM
There's an '85 Honda VF700 Interceptor on craigslist for $150.  Looks in pretty decent condition and the guy says it was running 8 months ago.  Title is included also so everything looks good especially for only $150.  My question is how hard is it to find parts for this bike?  any problem areas other than the usual tires, tank, etc?  Thanks.

First of all its a honda so the motor should be fine just a little carb cleaning, oil change, tune-up and clean the chain i dont see why not

Yea that is what im thinkin if it turns out to be unfixable.  Hopefully the price isn't a misprint and the guy contacts me before I head back to school tomorrow so I can go snag this up.

24 year old bike.....You know 15 years and older is considered vintage. Sweet ride if it runs with a carb clean. Don't get suckered into replacing $500 of parts to see if it is a good bike. It either is a simple fix or it is a parts bike. Good lck.
