Title: yeah baby
Post by: Jeff P on April 13, 2008, 04:05:19 AM
I posted a few weeks back about my awful running '96.  I ordered a bunch of new o-rings, float bowl gaskets, and fuel line from bikebandit, drained the tank, inspected the petcock (it's fine), cleaned the carbs (one pilot jet was completely clogged), put it all back together and hot dog, the bike damn near runs perfect  :)  And I don't think I have any fuel leaks

There's a minor bit of part-throttle hesitation around 5k rpms, but overall the bike is back in business.  It hasn't run this well for 2 years, and now I'm excited for the warm weather

ps. thanks as always to Kerry, his hose & vacuum line diagram was a huge help.
ps2. also thanks to the buddha, the tip about taking the air filter out while you're putting the airbox back on helped a ton - makes that step pretty easy.
