So I have an engine (1999, 20k miles) which idles but has a spun bearing (most likely - read messages on this post for details - http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=40479.20 )
I unmounted the engine from the frame, and was in dual minds - one wanting to break it down and replace whats broken, other wanted to save time and effort and install a used one. Lack of experience/help/tools made me go with the second choice: Sell off this engine to someone interested in rebuilding it, buy a used one.
I am not sure how much to expect for this? Make me an offer I cant refuse. I might just break it down to satisfy my curiosity, so let me know if that is fine with you or not. The engine currently resides in San Diego.

Is the motor silver? If you're parting out and the head is in good shape I'll take it! Desperate to get my bike running $100 shipped?
the 99's head is silver, from late 96 or EARLY 97 the were all silver onwards
