I'd like to purchase some saddle bags for my 1998 GS500E anyone have any recommendations?

i sorta want hard casese :)
http://search.express.ebay.com/_Motorcycle-Parts-Accessories__hard_W0QQ_kwZhardQQPartType8182f47ZLuggageSaddlebagsf902c756 idk if any of these would work? but the new ones online are $$$$$$$$$$$$
hmm :dunno_white:
check craigslist for bmw hardbags, some of them are small enough to not look out of place on a gs500. hardbags are PRICEY, but i've come across a few pair for <$100 well used.
if you find a set that has keyed locks, working hinges and aren't full of holes for $100, BUY THEM.
decent hard bags start around $600 and just keep going. you could likely weld up aluminum crash bags like those uber cool bmw trekkers have for $200 or less. allot of work , but tough as hell. :)
good luck !
Found some info for you at www.sport-touring.net. Should provide some good info.
